Wen Mao, Ph.D, CEO
Wen received her in Biology degree from Peking University, a Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Southern California as well as a master’s degree in regulatory science from University of Southern California. She also received the Excellent Eye Care Research Award and Academic Scholarship from the National Eye Institute in 2008. Wen spent 6 years of at Abbott ’s US headquarters. Leading the "Life Style Libre Flash Glucose Monitoring System (FreeStyle Libre Flash Glucose Monitoring System)" series of three types of medical device products in an end to end full lifecycle management. industrialization of multiple patented technologies has been achieved, and the product has been successfully marketed in Europe, the United States, China, Japan, Canada, Australia and Brazil. Wen once held the position of COO as a founding partner and led the team to complete three rounds of financing within 2 years, with a total amount of more than 130 million yuan,and managed a team of over 300 people.
Yu Qin, Ph.D, CSO
Qin received her undergraduate degree in chemistry from Nanjing University and a PhD degree in chemistry from Auburn University in the United States. She worked as an associate professor in the Department of Chemistry at Nanjing University, and a research expert at the University of Michigan. Qin has been engaged in basic research and development and application of sensing materials, nitric oxide sustained-release materials and generation technology for many years, and has achieved international cutting-edge results in the field of clinical medical diagnostic testing and new medical equipment. Her work resulted in application of 14 patents, 9 patents have been granted, and published more than 70 papers in mainstream international journals. In 2006, he was awarded "Outstanding Talents of the New Century by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China", presided over and completed three projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Science Foundation, and participated in key projects of the Fund, major instruments, and 973 projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
Luke Cao, COO
Luke started as a practioner, he was the first batch of anti-SARS frontline and participated in medical work and photojournalists of MSF many times. Luke also worked at Johnson & Johnson for 8 years, from front-line sales to sales executives, involving the pharmaceutical market in many fields such as general medicine, specialty medicine, biological medicine and tumor medicine. After starting business, he entered the IVD field. He served as the deputy general manager of a well-known company leading the global microfluidic technology industry, assisting the company to raise more than 4 billion yuan, and built a 140 million yuan business. He is also the first baseball education industry company in the country, and he is the CEO of Youbang Sports and the principal of the Runners Baseball International School. He has traveled the world, participated in the "Innovation Management" overseas practice project of the University of the Arts in London, and was a special lecturer at the School of Medical Management Education of Renmin University.
Yuyan Zhang CTO
With a bachelor’s degree from Zhejiang University and a master’s degree from Tianjin University, ZHANG Yuyan has over 13 years’ experience in the research, design, development and executive management of life-supporting medical devices. He has developed or contributed to the development of over 15 innovative medical products, including radiation, respiratory, anesthesia and extracorporeal life support systems of which the global installed base has been more than 50,000 units. With extensive experience in reliability engineering, technical risk management and field investigation, he is responsible for research and development for the Novlead technology. Prior to joining Novlead, Yuyan held leadership position of system engineering at GE Healthcare and Hengrui Medical.
Mark Meyerhoff, Ph.D
Professor of the Department of Chemistry, University of Michigan, an internationally renowned analytical and materials chemist, one of the earliest researchers to study the properties and applications of nitric oxide, invented a number of nitric oxide slow-release materials and new generation technologies, and obtained patent authorization and published He has nearly 400 papers and has been serving as a consultant for many world-renowned medical device companies, such as Wolfen, Abbott, Dow Chemical, etc.
Liming Wang, Ph.D
Wang Liming is a professor at the College of Life Sciences of Zhejiang University and also a neurobiologist focusing on the neurobiological principles of energy and nutrient metabolism and the pathogenesis of related diseases. He graduated from Peking University with a bachelor's degree and obtained his doctoral degree from California Institute of Technology. After returning to China, he was selected into the national "Thousand Talent Program for Young Outstanding Scientists" and "Thousand Talents Program" of Zhejiang Province. Because of his achievements in science and science popularization, he has successively won the "Outstanding Youth Scholar" by Hongkong Qiushi Scientific and Technological Foundation, "Xingyun Awards for Global Chinese Science Fiction" and "Wu Ta-You Science Popularization Award".
Maoyong Fu, Ph.D
Fu Maoyong, General Manager at JAMA Diagnostics (US), with 18+ years research and industry experiences in life science and technology. Fu received his PhD degree from China Agricultural University and then continued his post-doctoral fellowship in UCLA and Stanford University respectively. Before becoming General Manager at JAMA Diagnostics, Fu accumulated rich knowledge in molecular diagnostic field through his professional experiences in Quest Diagnostics and GE Healthcare.
Rui Chang, Ph.D
Chang Rui, assistant professor at Yale University, School of Medicine. Chang received B.S. in Biological Sciences and Biotechnology from Tsinghua University in China, and Ph.D. in Neuroscience at the University of Southern California. He completed his postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School. As a result of his academic accomplishment, he is recruited to join both the Department of Neuroscience and the Department of Cellular and Molecular Physiology as assistant professor at Yale. Chang’s lab studies how brain senses internal changes and controls body organ functions in order to understand the fundamental mechanism of related diseases.
Yi Liu, Ph.D
Liu Yi, research scientist at UCLA. Liu is a well-respected scholar in immunology and molecular pathology. He pursued his doctorate degree at Case Western Reserve University and then devoted himself in postdoctoral research in the lab of Professor Alexander Hoffmann, the world-leading immunologist. Many of his papers have been published in top international academic journals such as "Journal of Immunology", "Blood" and "Journal of Cell Sciences". He received the scientist award from American Association of Immunologists in 2011.
